Homecoming Dresses!

Ok, for Emily (and anyone else who happens to read by blog), please tell me which one(s) you like best! I'm having trouble deciding! Oh and ignore my hair, I just got out of the shower after practice.

Yeah... I feel like a fish

You can't really tell in this picture but the bottom is kinda hardcore poofy-outy.

The top on this one looks huge but its only because the straps would need to be taken up if i decide to keep this one.

I really don't know about the brightly colored ruffles at the bottom

That's it. OK now comment and tell me which one's are cutest ;)

Ray Wherley Cross Country Invitational

Our cross country team went up to Prescott today for an invitational. It was a really long day because of travel time and because of the race format. They raced us in flights instead of how they normally do it where everyone goes together. The flights were runners 6&7 from each team, 4&5, 3&2, and the number 1 runners from each team. There were about 20 teams there, so about 40 girls per race. I got 10th place for my flight of 4&5s, which barely qualified me to medal! Also medaling from our was Laura, our #1 runner who got 3rd place overall, and Amy our #2 who got 5th! yeah Vikings!

Rock Climbing

Saturday before the dance Michael and I doubled with Tyler and Brytaney and went rock climbing at Solid Rock Gym. It was pretty fun, and I was super proud of myself for making it up the hardcore walls like Spiderman (with only a little pulling from Michael). Pretty much the only reason I made it to the top is because Michael wouldn't let me down until I did. Afterward we went to the dance because Michael had to DJ, and we ended the night at Sonic. As Michael put it, "longest date ever!!!!"

I made it to the top!!!

And now we're both really hot and sweaty! :/

And Michael thinks he's Spiderman! Crazy kid!

The T-Squad

So for my first football game of the season I didn't even go to my own school's game. Lame huh? Instead I went to Thunderbird's game to watch Jamie twirl. I went with Brad and Cory and met up with Michael, Tyler, Jenna, and Celeste who made me an un-official member of the T-Squad. I think I cheered more at that game than I ever have at a Sunnyslope game. Our school just doesn't have school spirit! Unfortunately the T-Bird Chiefs got killed, but I still had a great time anyways!

Labor Day Weekend

On Saturday Emily and I went out to the San Tan mall and went shopping! It was a super fun day and even though almost EVERYTHING is too big on me, I got some really cute new dresses!

AP Physics Party

So on Thursday night Reid (resident genius of the Junior class), and Ariel, came over to do our 20 or so physics problems. As soon as we started we realized that it would take us longer than we had anticipated, and we didn't realize the crazy night we had ahead of us. At around 9pm my power went out, much to our chagrin. Instead of doing physics by candlelight, we moved to Ariel's house, and on the way to her house we had to traverse fallen trees and power lines blocking the road. It was raining and lightninging like crazy! Whew! Made it safely to Ariels. After a total of 6 hours spent on 20 physics problems we were finally done! With physics that is. I stayed at Ariel's to finish my other homework because my house didn't have power, but at about 11:30 Ariel's power went out too, so we finished the last couple hours by the light of about 30 tea candles. It got so hot! I was so tired the next day, but what can ya do? Welcome to Thursdays as an AP student.

"That's Not Rain!"

On Christine's last night we finally got to prove to her that it really does rain in Arizona. It had sprinkled a few times before, but every time I got excited that water was fallin' from the sky, she would tell me that it wasn't really rain. Ariel and I decided to take Christine out for icecream on her last night, and so headed over to Baskin Robins. Right as we got inside, there was a big flash of lighting and *POW* the power goes out. We were then standing in the middle of a pitch black Baskin Robins... with no icecream. Let down of the Century! We gave up on our quest for icecream and just went back to Ariel's house where we played in the rain for a good half hour. A fun end to a fun four weeks with Christine!

Disneyland!

Welcome to the Happiest Place on Earth! As her host family, we got to take Christine to Disneyland while she was here, and Sarah, Laura, and Aunt Lori were just lucky enough to get dragged along as well. In standard form, Mom decided to cram as much into this trip as was humanly possible. We started up through the Grand Canyon, which Sarah and Laura had never been to.

We then headed up through the red rocks of Sedona into the landmark Arizona town of... Kingman! OK, so maybe not, but we spent the night there and visited Aunt Nene as well. The next morning we headed on our way to California, stopping of in what we swore was Chinatown... well you'll have to look at the pictures to understand.

Grand Canyon or Bust!!

There were rooms and rooms of this! It never ended!

But I think you get the idea...

Finally we reached our house in Orange, Orange County, California. That's right, we were chillin in none other than the set of the OC and Laguna Beach. Christine thought she was in Heaven. That afternoon we spent an amazing time on Newport beach body surfing, tanning, skimboarding, and boogie boarding.

The next two days we spent at Disneyland and California Adventure from open to close. Christine was fascinated by everything Disney, and none of us were ready to go home at the end of the trip.

Scared to go on Tower of Terror!

Especially for Youth 2008

I realized that I never posted pictures from EFY this summer. I went to EFY session 2 at Grand Canyon University, and Madi Hettinger and I were roomates. I loved my group so much this year, and we all got along really well. As always, I was not ready for the amazing week to end.

Pizza night!!!

It's sad because after the week is over everyone is really gung-ho about keeping up the feeling you had at EFY, but its hard going back home and keeping up the enthusiasm and keeping the Spirit as strong in your life. Also, everyone swears they'll keep in touch and still be as close next time EFY rolls around, but it never happens. A couple months later, I only talk to maybe 3 or 4 of the people from my group, Bert, Sean, Jordan, and Madi of course.
